Child
A child refers to an unmarried biological son or daughter, an adopted child, a stepchild or a common-law child. A common-law child is the child of your common law spouse and another person.
Co-insurance
Co-Insurance is the percentage of Eligible Expenses which is payable by the life insurance company providing the benefit.
Consecutive Months
Consecutive months are the applicable periods of 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 months, commencing on the date the first eligible expense is incurred.
Convalescent Hospitals
A convalescent hospital is an extended-care hospital facility or institution which is licensed by the appropriate authority in its' jurisdictions, which is regularly engaged in the care of patients who do not require active medical treatments but who do require skilled nursing care and continued medical supervision for the acute phase of their illness. The term does not include a federal hospital, a nursing home, a home for the aged, a private rest home, a chronic care facility, a health spa or hotel, a facility providing custodial care or an institution for the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction or mental illness.
